With your support E.B. Horsman & Son (EBH) was able to present BC Children’s Hospital with a cheque for $50,000 at their June telethon. Over the course of 18 years, with the generosity of our staff, customers and suppliers, we have been able to donate $505,906.
Your participation in EBH events and raffles around the province is the key to our fundraising success. Some of this year’s successful fundraisers included: the Vernon hockey pool, in which Darrel Kilmartin and the EBH Vernon branch staff raised $1,760 for the kids; Jeff Janzen’s (Penticton) annual Nascar pool that raised $845; Tom Wittal and the Williams Lake Jeans Day BBQ that brought in $1,461 in donations; and the poker tournament that Cory Evans held in Campbell River raised $1,205 again this year.
On Jeans Day alone, your support in our branch BBQs raised over $6,800.
The funds raised go straight to BC Children’s Hospital and are used to support everything from the acquisition of life-saving equipment to the groundbreaking pediatric research into cures and better treatments for many devastating childhood diseases. Your donations help to ensure that the most precious members of our society – our children – receive the best possible care.
