We want to assure you that the safety and well-being of our customers, employees and their families, supplier partners, and the communities we serve remains our top priority. During this time, it is important that we communicate our business continuity measures and action plan with you in addition to what’s been announced earlier this week.
Branch Hygiene
Today, all of our locations remain open for business including our Head Office and Distribution Center. COVID-19 guidance plans are in place at all E.B. Horsman locations, detailing how to protect against transmission. Additional cleaning measures have been implemented at each of our locations. We have increased the frequency of cleaning, especially for high traffic areas. We are utilizing disinfectants and added focus to cleaning frequently used surfaces and equipment.
Health of Employees
We are monitoring the health of all our employees to ensure everyone is safe and adhering to government and health authority guidelines.
Travel Advisory
We are following all recommendations regarding travel advisories from the Federal Government, the Provinces, and Provincial Health Officers. We are encouraging our employees to restrict their travel plans, while implementing 14-days of self-quarantine for those who are returning from business or personal travel.
We have prepared a strategy to ensure the continuity of business and maintain standards of service for our customers.
Branch Service & Account Managers
While our branches remain open we strongly urge phone, email and eCommerce as the communication tools of preference. We care for the health and safety of our community so branches are establishing social distancing protocols at all counter and shipping areas. We are asking that transactions at our counters must be on account, or with a debit or credit card. Our Account Managers and Customer Service teams continue to be available to connect with you by phone, email or video conferencing — or in person, as we are able and safe to do so.
Online Services
Our eCommerce site is available 24/7 and has a wealth of information; it is mobile friendly, has a robust search tool, autocomplete product number tool, and shows your real-time pricing & stock availability. The site also allows you to create custom job or price lists, upload item lists, retrieve invoices, as well as view open orders and account balances. We encourage you to sign up or contact your Account Manager for assistance.
Inventory & Supplier Manufacturing Capacity
Our inventory levels remain strong and reflect current market demand. Our supplier partners and their manufacturing facilities continue to operate. While supplier manufacturing and distribution facilities remain at full inventory levels, we are reviewing core products to the best of our ability to ensure that we have bolstered inventory to withstand a supplier event where they have a reduction in capacity or personnel.
Invoices & Payments
Keep your account current by signing up for online payments and ensure accurate records by requesting emailed invoices and statements. Contact AR@ebhorsman.com to get both of these set up today.
The BC Ministry of Health, Alberta Health Services and Saskatchewan Health Authority have posted a COVID-19 Self-Assessment tool which can help determine whether you may need further assessment or testing for COVID-19. You can complete this assessment for yourself, or on behalf of someone else, if they are unable to.
