Under the leadership of Branch Manager Ira Aikman, the team continues to grow and evolve with a strong headcount of 12 dedicated team members. For several years, the team has contributed to the South Okanagan Women In Need Society (SOWINS) through their annual Christmas Drive. They collect and donate gifts and groceries to help young families and single mothers working to improve their lives, ensuring they enjoy a bountiful and joyful holiday season. The branch also regularly organizes counter days and fundraisers, including a standout event that raised over $10,000 for BC Children’s Hospital through a supplier-hosted electrical code course. Celebrating diversity is another core value, exemplified by their Cultural and Diversity Day where team members share treats and traditions from their heritage. Few organizations in any industry can match the long-standing dedication demonstrated at our EB Horsman Penticton branch. Jim Haddow and Chris Bussinger have each surpassed the 30-year mark with EB Horsman, while Bill Lund brings 23 years of expertise to the front counter. Jeff Janzen, who recently retired, served over three decades as Branch Manager and District Manager, leaving a legacy of leadership and commitment.

The branch was originally opened by Jack MacNeil in 1946, although Kelowna was the initial choice due to its central location in the Okanagan. A consultation with Canadian General Electric helped redirect the expansion to Penticton, which at the time offered better rail connections. This was a critical factor for logistics in that era

In 2024, the Penticton team won the GM Lighting Amazing Application Image Contest, with EB Horsman featured three times in the Lighting Product Catalog. This achievement highlights the branch’s continued leadership in lighting solutions, both in service and in application.
