Philips Lighting Is Now Signify

Philips Lighting, a market leader in LED technology and the largest LED provider in Canada, is changing its brand name to Signify. The global brand based out of Netherlands announced the name change in May 2018 – “The choice of our new company name originates from the way light becomes an intelligent language, which connects and conveys meaning. It is a clear expression of our strategic vision and purpose to unlock the extraordinary potential of light for brighter lives and a better world.” Eric Rondolat — CEO, Signify.

As of January 28th 2019, Philips Canada Ltd is officially operating as Signify Canada Ltd, with most of the Philips lighting brands that you know and trust carrying the “by Signify” designation. However, Signify will continue to use the Philips brand as the primary and premier brand globally for LED lighting lamps and some luminaires.
