Thermon Industrial Heat Trace Cables: Protect Industrial Operations - Now In Stock
In industrial environments, it’s essential to protect pipelines, vessels, and equipment from freezing or to maintain precise temperature ranges to ensure safety, efficiency, and operational reliability. Thermon industrial heat trace cables are built to tackle these challenges head-on, delivering durable and dependable solutions that keep your infrastructure protected, even in the toughest conditions.
What Are Heat Trace Cables?
Heat trace cables are used to maintain or raise the temperature of pipes and vessels. They work by providing consistent heat through electrical resistances within the cable, helping to prevent the freezing of water and other liquids or to maintain specific process temperatures in industrial applications. In environments like refineries, petrochemical plants, food and beverage manufacturing, and power generation facilities, precise temperature control is critical for ensuring smooth operations and avoiding costly downtime.
Thermon: A Leader in Heat Trace Solutions
Thermon’s self-regulating heat trace cables are globally recognized for their ability to prevent freezing and corrosion. Their innovative solutions are engineered to deliver consistent heating and protection for industrial applications.
Self-regulating heat trace cables automatically adjust their heat output based on heat loss conditions throughout the entire circuit. When the ambient temperature drops, leading to heat loss in the equipment, the cable responds by increasing its heat output. Conversely, as ambient temperatures rise and the equipment heats up, the cable output decreases. These self-regulating cables are suitable for various applications, including tracing requirements for piping, vessels, and equipment, as well as commercial uses such as snow and ice melting for tracks, roofs, gutters, and concrete surfaces. There are several types of self-regulating cables available, with maintained temperature ranges from 65°C (150°F) to 200°C (392°F).
HSTX Self-Regulating Trace Heaters
HTSX self-regulating trace heaters are specifically engineered for process temperature maintenance and freeze protection in environments requiring high-temperature exposure. Capable of withstanding the extreme conditions of steam purging, HTSX is built using Thermon’s proprietary monolithic co-extrusion process, making it the industry leader in self-regulating heat tracing technology. The HTSX automatically adjusts its heat output in response to changes in ambient temperature or heat loss through thermal insulation, ensuring consistent performance along the entire length of a heat-traced pipe. Approved for use in both ordinary and hazardous areas, HTSX delivers reliable and efficient heating solutions for critical industrial applications.
The HTSX 9-2-OJ and the HTSX 12-2-OJ, in particular, are standout choices.
Key Benefits:
- High-Temperature Resistance: Built to withstand extreme temperatures, these cables are perfect for applications like steam purging.
- Optimized Energy Efficiency: Featuring self-regulating technology, the cables automatically adjust heat output based on ambient conditions, ensuring efficient energy usage and preventing freezing.
- Durability and Reliability: Designed for long-term performance, these cables offer protection against freezing and corrosion, minimizing maintenance costs and reducing operational downtime.
BSX Self Regulating Heating Cables
BSX self-regulating heating cables offer reliable freeze protection and process temperature maintenance for metallic and non-metallic piping, tanks, and equipment. Engineered to adjust heat output based on environmental conditions, the cable increases output when heat loss rises (e.g., in colder temperatures) and reduces it when conditions improve. This responsive design ensures optimal energy efficiency and system performance.
The BSX™ cable is certified for safe use in both standard and hazardous environments. Its low-maintenance design enhances operational efficiency, with no need for steam cleaning, making it a cost-effective and dependable solution for industrial applications.
