Code Electric has been known as BC’s custom enclosure house for over 40 years. They provide three types of custom fabrication categories: Custom variations of our standard products (pull boxes, splitters), End User designed customs (ex: kiosks, consoles) where they build what you specifically require, and Non-electrical customs (ex: storage cabinets, protective cages, planters). Their design team can assist you with your prototyping and will supply 3D CAD drawings of your builds.
Code Electric Products manufactures to the following Canadian Standards Association.
Type 1 General Purpose – Indoor : Protects against accidental contact with live parts.
Type 3 – Dust tight, Rain tight, Sleet resistant – Outdoor : An enclosures for either indoor or outdoor use, constructed to provide a degree of protection against rain, snow and wind-blown dust; undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure.
Type 3R – Rainproof, Sleet resistant – Outdoor : An enclosure for either indoor or outdoor use, constructed to provide a degree of protection against rain and snow undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure.
Type 4 – Watertight, Dust tight – Indoor & Outdoor : An enclosure for either indoor or outdoor use, constructed to provide a degree of protection against rain, snow, wind-blown dust, splashing and hose directed water; undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure.
Type 4x – Watertight, Dust tight – Indoor & Outdoor : Type 4X enclosures have the same provisions as Type 4, in addition to being corrosion resistant.
