The Tour de Cure is not just an event; it’s a powerful statement of our commitment to making a positive impact.

The Tour de Cure rolled through the Fraser Valley this past weekend (Aug 26-27), with 12 riders from E.B. Horsman & Son raising money for the BC Cancer Foundation. Cancer has touched so many lives, including those of people we hold dear. Every pedal push will be a testament to the strength and courage for those fighting cancer and together we can raise awareness, spread hope and contribute to the vital research and support services.

Roy Bragg, the team captain says “It is a great cause that most can unfortunately relate to. The EBH staff, as well as the families and friends of our riders, provide unwavering support every step of the way. A heartfelt thank you to all who volunteer their time, participate, mentor, and contribute to fundraising efforts. We couldn’t do it without you! Our team’s progression has been remarkable, boasting a robust roster of 12 riders this year, including remarkable individuals like Adam Dries and Darren Moncrieff. Their transition from the Alberta equivalent to stand alongside us in BC’s Tour de Cure is a testament to the unwavering spirit of unity. Our core group of experienced riders has seamlessly embraced the role of guiding and uplifting our new members. The expressions on their faces at the finish line, as they conquer challenges that once seemed insurmountable, is truly a sight to behold. These moments encapsulate the essence of pride and unity within our exceptional group. The achievement of our goal, a tribute to those we’ve lost, holds a profoundly moving impact that resonates within each of us. The bonds forged through these shared experiences create friendships that stand the test of time, adding to the profound sense of belonging within this remarkable event and community.”

“This unforgettable experience was an amazing team building experience for our group and I look forward to riding again next year, and every year after that. Everyone brought their creativity, passion and determination to this event, our team was so encouraging and motivating.  They gave me the belief in myself that I could do it and I rode even better on the second day!. Thank you to everyone, the volunteers, our sponsors and of course our awesome team”. Said Jennifer Cargo, Data Analyst.

We also had two team members join the Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer, July 22-23rd, where they completed 218kms in two days.

Riding in the Ride de Cure is not just an event; it’s a powerful statement of E.B. Horsman’s commitment to making a positive impact. As we take on the challenge of cycling through kilometers of road, we’re not only pushing our own limits but also raising vital funds and awareness for a cause that truly matters.

As we pedal alongside fellow riders, we’re forging connections and creating memories that extend beyond the finish line. We’re embodying the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie that defines our company culture, while also making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. Every mile we conquer and every dollar we raise contributes to research, patient support, and advocacy efforts that bring us one step closer to a brighter future.

Through our involvement in the Ride de Cure, we’re not only promoting physical wellness but also showcasing our belief in social responsibility. We’re showing that our company is not just focused on business success, but also on being a force for positive change in the world. This event allows us to amplify our voice and be part of a movement that truly matters.

Thank you to each and every participant who’s riding for a purpose, and to all those who support our team’s efforts. Together, we’re turning pedals into progress, and making a real impact in the fight against cancer. Let’s ride on, with determination, purpose, and the shared hope for a healthier future.

Thank You team! Everyone Builds Horsman.
