Ensuring the safety and reliability of industrial equipment is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and protecting personnel. Ground check monitoring is a vital component of this process, providing real-time oversight of ground integrity and detecting potential faults before they escalate into serious issues. By continuously assessing the ground conductor’s condition, ground check monitoring helps prevent hazardous voltage situations, reducing the risk of equipment damage and safety incidents. In industrial settings where equipment reliability and worker safety are paramount, investing in effective ground check monitoring solutions can safeguard your assets and keep operations running smoothly.
The EL731 is an advanced microprocessor-based AC/DC Sensitive Earth-Leakage Relay designed to provide comprehensive protection across all frequencies from 0 to 6,000 Hz. It requires two CTs for full frequency coverage, though a single CT can be used for detecting either low or high frequencies. Additionally, it features an RTD/PTC sensor input for monitoring over-temperature and under-temperature conditions in motors or drives. The EL731 includes metering capabilities, password-protected alarm and trip settings, and optional network communication. It is primarily employed to enhance low-level ground-fault protection in variable-speed drives and DC circuits.
The SE-105/SE-107 is a combined ground-wire monitor and ground-fault relay designed for resistance-grounded systems. It continuously checks the integrity of the ground conductor to safeguard portable equipment from dangerous voltages resulting from ground faults. Ideal for trailing cables up to 5 kV in underground mining environments, the SE-105/SE-107 provides reliable protection. For applications involving higher voltages or longer cables, consider the SE-134C/SE-135 models.
