Could you elaborate on your current role as a Product Information & SEO Specialist?
In my current role as a Product Information & SEO Specialist, I find great fulfillment and excitement. This position provides an enriching learning experience as I engage with emerging technologies and diverse e-commerce platforms and software systems. I enjoy learning new programs to optimize and implement them in our systems.
Your motivation for choosing a career in science/technology?
My motivation for choosing a career in science/technology stems from a deep-seated curiosity about how things work and a passion for staying at the forefront of innovation. Growing up, I was always drawn to computers and technology, and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems felt like a natural fit. The opportunity to delve into the intricacies of network security and communications further fueled my interest in the field. Additionally, the dynamic nature of the tech industry and the endless possibilities for growth and learning have continuously motivated me to pursue a career in science and technology.
What areas within science or technology do you find particularly exciting or promising for future generations?
Within the vast landscape of science and technology, I find several areas particularly exciting and promising for future generations. Artificial Intelligence (AI) in particular, captivates my interest due to its potential to revolutionize various industries and enhance user experiences. Furthermore, the intersection of e-commerce and digital marketing technologies presents exciting opportunities for driving sales and engaging customers through innovative solutions like augmented reality (AR) and personalized marketing campaigns. Overall, I believe that these areas, along with others like data analytics and sustainability-focused technologies, will continue to shape the future of science and technology, inspiring future generations to push the boundaries of innovation even further.

In my career, I have encountered certain gender-specific barriers, but I’ve adopted strategies to overcome them. One challenge has been the perception that certain roles within the tech industry are traditionally male-dominated. For instance, women in STEM careers can visit career fairs and go to high schools and speak about their careers and why they like it.
