The remodeler IC housing is designed for retrofit applications where the ceiling is insulated. It provides the advantage of not having to use an insulated box where thespace or access is limited. This IC rated housing can be converted to an airtight housing by covering the mounting screw openings with the foil strips provided with the housing.
